"I bought a huge oak burl several years ago and had cut it into slabs for table tops. A few of the slabs were not stable enough for table tops but had plenty of wood for bowls. This is one of the larger pieces to come from that burl. Its grain and color are extraordinary. This bowl deserves to be the center piece for a large table. It can also hold fruit or nuts, etc. When you can no longer smell the finish, it will be food safe.
This bowl will develop a patina over the years. This speaks of the many hands that have held it. I hope that this bowl will be passed down through many generations."
